Care in Camden

Support shaped around each person.

Every package starts with a free assessment. Private care starts from seven hours a week, and every visit lasts at least an hour.

We also provide disability care, Parkinson's care and end-of-life care. See all our services.

Leaving hospital

Coming home from hospital in Camden.

Many of the Camden families we support first contact us when a parent or partner is being discharged from the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead or University College Hospital on Euston Road. If someone is about to leave hospital, tell the ward or discharge team that you’re arranging home care, then call us. We’ll talk about what’s needed for the first days at home and arrange an assessment as quickly as we safely can.

Read our guide to arranging home care after a hospital stay.

Funding

Paying for care in Camden.

Camden residents can ask Camden Council’s adult social care team for a free needs assessment, and family carers can ask for a carer’s assessment. If the council contributes to your care, you can usually ask for a direct payment and choose your own provider. Visit the Camden Council website (opens in a new tab) to start.

Hedgerow is an approved provider under North Central London Integrated Care Board's All Qualified Provider arrangements, and we regularly accept NHS-commissioned care packages. Not everyone qualifies for NHS funding.

Many families pay privately. We give a clear written quotation after a free assessment. Our guide to paying for home care explains the options.

Why families choose Hedgerow

  • Familiar carers. A small, regular team for each client, introduced before care starts where possible.
  • Rated Good by CQC in all five areas. Read what inspectors found.
